Why play box lacrosse?
Box Lacrosse is played 6 v 6 (5 Field and 1 goalie). It is a fast-paced game that increases the player’s game sense, team play, readiness, quick stick movements, and small game inside the 8 meter. The game uses boys sticks as it is more physical. It primarily focuses on setting and using picks to create space. The rules are similar to men’s hockey, with pushing, bumping, physical checking, and stick checking. Goalies dress similar to hockey goalies in full pads. Nets are small. Players need to work together for goals. This is an introductory clinic. Almost all players will be trying box for the first time. Knight Box Lacrosse coaches will train our players on the game, style of play, tactics, and more.
